You might be wondering why I’m sharing a photo that looks like a heap of steamed vegetables. What you can’t tell from the photo is that these are the best tasting steamed vegetables ever! You won’t believe how something so simple will taste so good. Not only is it super easy, it only requires a few ingredients…steamed vegetables, butter, honey, and salt.
Caution: Be careful when melting the butter and honey…The smell is out of this world! It smells like kettle corn 🙂

Honey Butter Vegetables
Serves 4-6
2 carrots, cut into 1 inch slices
1 medium yellow squash, cut into 1 inch slices then cut in half
2 cups broccoli florets
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/2 teaspoon honey
1/4 teaspoon salt
Using a covered saucepan with a steamer insert, heat about 2 cups of water to boiling. Add carrots to steamer insert, cover pan and steam for 5 minutes. Add squash and broccoli(allowing carrots to remain), cover and allow to steam for 5 additional minutes. In a large skillet, heat butter on medium heated until melted. Add honey and salt, stirring to combine. Transfer steamed vegetables to butter mixture and toss to coat. Remove from heat and serve.
