I will try for another photo today…Not so crazy about this one 🙁 |
Guess how old I am…
I am so old that I remember when frozen yogurt was tart like real yogurt…nothing like the soft serve stuff that I’ve been having for the last 20+ years. Recently, I mixed a combination of Cabot 2% Greek style yogurt, Trader Joe’s Reduced Sugar Blueberry Preserves, and a dash of vanilla extract for breakfast. After tasting the simple concoction, I realized that it tasted just like the frozen yogurt of my youth. I decided to make a larger batch and process it in a ice cream freezer…With the thickness of the Greek style yogurt doing all of the work, it produced a thick, creamy, tart frozen treat that just begged for some white chocolate sauce. Okay, it didn’t beg…that was all me 🙂

It looks like this…see how thick?! Freeze as you would ice cream |

When you’re ready to serve, start with a layer of frozen blueberries. |

I have never made ice cream at home. This looks soooo delicious…and it’s very dangerous to keep it at home… LOL.
Simple and delicious! Love it!
yummy yummy yummy…can you invite me too
This looks so fresh and it just screams summer. I just made my homdemade peach ice cream for the first time since last summer and boy there is nothing better than ice cream with fruit! Great recipe shawn!
This looks delish! It’s healthy too–this may be my new breakfast treat even.
Wow what a fabulous recipe ~ I bet it is soooo delicious!
This looks amazing- and with white chocolate sauce?! Oh my! Thanks for sharing, and thanks for using Cabot yogurt!

I think the white chocolate sauce would take it up a degree–total yum. I agree, the “frozen yogurt” you buy now tastes nothing like yogurt. No tart edge at all.
