~Contest Closed~
Not wanting my husband to hand out ‘naked’ gift cards, I needed an attractive way for him to present them. Although these contain a gift card, they also contain candy…truffles to be exact. Since I’m showing you how to do it, I’m giving away the completed sample.
The completed sample contains a $5 Starbucks gift card, Lindt Truffles & Hershey’s Bliss. To enter the giveaway just add a comment to this post by 9:00p.m. (EST)Wednesday, March 16, 2011. A random drawing will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2011.
~Disclaimer~
Starbucks, Lindt, & Hershey’s know nothing about this giveaway. They didn’t give me ‘jack’…

Cute card but, we can do better… |
Use the gift card to determine the size of your cylinder. A paper clip keeps it secure until you tape it together. |
Remove the gift card and add tissue to cylinder. |
Add fill with gift card and candy! |
Slide filled cylinder into a cello bag…Add more tissue and add tag with ribbon. |
To wrap one gift card you will need:
1 strip of heavy paper (3 x 12 inches)…I used Scrapbook Paper
2 pieces of gift tissue
1 cello bag ( 4 3/4 x 9 inches)
1 piece of ribbon (1/2 x 8 inches)
1 printed tag*
clear tape
truffles or your choice of wrapped candy
gift card
*I used Microsoft Publisher to make the tag on card stock paper
1.750 x 2 (inches) oval
22 pt Imprint Shadow Font
4 pt border
What a great gift idea! Thanks for the tutorial.
